Where we came from
The team's background is regulatory infrastructure, not developer tooling. Our engineering discipline runs EMIR Refit trade reporting live at REGIS-TR since May 2026 for a Swedish financial institution: full trade lifecycle, counterparty delegation, reconciliation, with pipelines on Google Cloud.
That is systems work where being wrong is reportable. It shaped a habit that turned into a product: assume the record will be read by someone who was not there, does not trust you, and is entitled to an answer. Topos is that habit made mechanical, and it governs the AI agents that build and maintain such systems, including its own. It is built by its own agents, under its own rules, releases included.

Systems architect. Stefan keeps the hard questions coming: what a verification chain must look like end to end, and where a signal can be true while the conclusion is not. The discipline of publishing our principles while keeping the machinery closed began as his caution. LinkedIn
OctoView Labs is a four-person team. We are not hiring at present.
How we work
We publish our principles and keep our machinery closed. What a provenance ledger does, why refusals are recorded, and what accountability requires of a system are all things worth arguing about in public, and we do, on LinkedIn. How a specific institution's deployment is configured is not.
Customer names are not published. Institutions in regulated markets are entitled to decide for themselves what they disclose about their infrastructure, and that decision is not ours to pre-empt.
